Bonus: This radio is Chirp compatible!
I've been looking for a dedicated radio for my TJ for a while now, and this radio came in with excellent reviews and an enticing price. It's a little on the small side, about the same size as my CB radio but it doesn't feel too small. The physical build quality is pretty great, the buttons are big and clicky, and the screen is bright and easy to use. I like the mostly-metal case, and overall the radio feels nice. The interface is decent, but it's not going to feel like a premium radio, and certainy lacks features compared to my Icom 706, but I feel right at home coming from my Baofeng. The only feature I really wish it had, is the option to toggle the display mode (frequency, channel, name) from the hand-mic, I'm not sure why that isn't one of the options. Overall, if you want a beginner friendly or just low cost trail rig, I think this is a great choice for 2m/70cm.
